Are you looking to expand your nursing skillset amongst an experienced team? We currently have a rare opportunity for an RVN to join our team here at GP Vets, Basingstoke and Tadley. You will see a varied day rotating between theatre work, inpatient care, and nurse consulting.

We would welcome both full and part time applicants. Typically, the full time role is based on 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (with a half day off the following week). There is no OOH associated with this role. However, we will consider flexible hours if you need to work them around commitments or childcare, it is important we can provide a work life balance for us all.

We are a Silver - rated Cat Friendly, long-established independent minded small animal practice with the full backup of corporate resources. We have welcoming, modern and comfortable Hampshire based veterinary surgeries in Basingstoke and Tadley, designed specifically with the needs of all small animals and their caring owners in mind. We have separate cat and dog kennels, 2 consult rooms and an ops theatre and we are well equipped with Digital X-Ray, Idexx ProCyteOne, Catalyst, Ultrasound and Laser Therapy.
We are based in a great location with excellent links to the M3/M4, (45 minutes drive to Heathrow and only 1 hour to the South coast), Basingstoke is also only a 40-minute train to London. In North Hampshire, you'll find historic treasures reflecting the local literary and military heritage as well as lively towns, great local food, and family attractions. You are also close to the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in North Hampshire, with its varied wildlife and stunning views.
About the Team and Culture
We are an ISFM accredited, nurse training practice. We have an excellent team, which includes 3 Vets, 3 RVNs (including a supportive and experienced Head Nurse), 1 VCA and a supportive client care team. We also have a visiting orthopaedic/soft tissue specialist and dermatologist. Our team is led and supported by our Clinical Director (Vet GDP Advisor and Feline Practice PgCert in progress). We actively encourage our nurses to fully use their skills therefore development and CPD is supported and encouraged.
