We want to make her transition to student life much easier, so decided that our Charity of the Year for 2018 will be to raise sufficient funds for Somer to have an electric wheelchair. That way, she will be able to have her independence at college and enhance her day to day living. She has endured seven operations, two of which resulted in cardiac arrest and one caused a mild stroke leaving her with weakness on her left side. She is therefore unable to propel herself in a manual wheelchair. This was presented to her at the Silchester Fete, where she helped us judge the Dog Show.
